Greyhounds can be among the easiest dogs to bring in to your life-- so why do they ever lose their homes...?

Well, when a problem arises, most people simply don't know what to do so they try to ignore it. But untreated it invariably keeps getting worse and worse until, all too often, the hound is returned. The guilt is unbearable and everyone is miserable-- you, your family, and your dog. (And the adoption group is not going to be that thrilled either!)

Received our videos yesterday. WOW! what an excellent training tool for prospective adopters. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this information filled resource. I especially liked the interviews with current experienced greyhound owners. Hopefully you have enough inventory on hand as I anticipate a reorder in the near future. Thanks again for your dedication in putting this together for the benefit of all greyhound organizations.
    Dave Doubek, Cofounder
Savannah Friends of Greyhounds as Pets

Greyhounds are wonderful dogs and incredibly loving, docile, and loyal companions who will bring unimagined joy to your life. But due to both their unique genetics (the breed may trace its ancestry back to ancient Egypt!) and their unusual track upbringing (where they spent much of their time in crates when not racing or training) the challenges they do present as pets are somewhat different than that of more familiar canines such as Rottweilers, Yorkies, Labs, or Golden Retrievers.

In fact, there's a saying among adopters-- I don't have a dog-- I have a greyhound! Maybe your otherwise sweet and submissive new hound inexplicably growls at people in his sleep? Perhaps she has separation anxiety and can't be left alone without soiling the house? Or maybe he has become so afraid of thunderstorms he makes himself vomit? Or you're simply afraid he or she won't get along with your cat, your small dog, or even your baby!

  • Get the information you need to solve any problems you've encountered-- and prevent those you haven't!

  • You love your hound and he loves you. You can't bear the thought of returning him. But what can you do? Your adoption agency wants to help, but their volunteers are overworked as it is with their daily tasks of taking new dogs from the track, providing them with medical care, finding foster homes, and doing adoptions. No matter how much they want to assist-- they may not have the time to counsel you individually-- and you may be reluctant to contact them every single time a problem arises.

    Fortunately there's great news!

Our 90+ minute DVD/Video will provide you with the answers you need to deal with most any issue you may encounter-- now or years down the road. Your DVD/Video Host Dr. Brad has never found a greyhound problem he couldn't help solve! Even if life with your hound is perfect now-- take this opportunity to learn how to keep it that way!.
I really enjoyed it! One of the best things about the video is the wide range of ages of the people that were interviewed - from younger to elderly. And the interviews make it more interesting and personal than if it was just a presentation of facts.

    Discover...

...how to use a raised feeder and when to exercise your hound to reduce the risk of potentially fatal GASTRIC BLOAT.

...how to safely introduce your greyhound to a new cat or small dog.

...how to easily satisfy your greyhound's exercise requirements in under 30 minutes a day so that you don't have a 45 mile-an-hour cyclone on your hands and in your house.

...what steps to take if your hound escapes in order to increase the chances she will be recovered safely.

...what space guarding is and what to do about it.

...how to deal with separation anxiety.

Because you are considering or have adopted a greyhound, you are obviously a compassionate and loving person. You know that when you take a retired racer into your home you are saving a life. You also know that when you return a hound you are taking up resources your adoption group could otherwise use to take in another dog in need of a home. Everyone loses.

I received my video yesterday and watched it last night. I was very impressed with the video's all around quality. It was very well done. I found myself nodding my head agreeing with so much that was said. This is an excellent tape for anyone considering a greyhound. I also was glad that it didn't just concentrate on the positives of the breed but also pointed out the negatives too. It's good for people to go into this with eyes wide open. That will hopefully keep dogs from being returned... Great video.

[T]hanks so much for the video, I recieved it today and have watched it already. It was really well done and I will love showing friends here who are very unfamiliar with Greyhounds. It is great to see that despite the fact that you're in Arizona the Greyhounds could easily be from New Zealand as they are just as stunning here.
